The Albanian Heritage Day festival will take place at Kensico, too, on June 8, from noon to 7 p.m. The celebration will feature lots of great entertainment, including Albanian-American singers, comedians and dancers, along with sports activities. Traditional Albanian art and craft items will be available for purchase. In addition, you'll be able to taste delicious Albanian foods and beverages for sale. No coolers will be allowed.
The Albanian Heritage Day celebration is sponsored by Westchester County Parks and the Mother Teresa Center of Our Lady of Shkodra Church.
All festivals will be held rain or shine. Seating is informal; bring blankets or folding chairs for seating on the lawn.
The Kensico Dam Plaza is located in Valhalla at the north end of the Bronx River Parkway. Admission and parking are free.
